ANTIOCH — City council members agreed Tue to hold off on equipping police with body cameras given the hefty costs associated with the technology coupled with the state’s lack of clear directives on how to handle the videos.

The equipment is considered a tool to foster transparency and hold police accountable for their actions as well as protect them from false allegations.
