ANTIOCH — The city manager says his job is on the line after he reprimanded newly elected mayor Sean Wright for violating a city ordinance that prohibits council members from interfering with employees’ jobs.

Duran acknowledged Fri that he’s one of the topics of discussion during the closed-door portion of Tuesday’s city council meeting, a matter that the agenda identifies only as “public employee dismissal.”

His performance obvious evaluation and a conference between Duran and labor negotiators are also among the private talks scheduled that evening.

“The mayor asked for them to be on the agenda,” Duran said.

“That should have been the end of that,” he said.
